# Discord Webhook

## Webhooks

An easy way to send automated messages and data updates to a text channel on your server.

#### Creating a Webhook

​1 - Open Discord and join your desired server.

2 - Locate the channel for which you want to create the webhook.

3 - Click on the ⚙️ icon next to the channel name.

4 - Set a name for the webhook and choose an avatar

5 - Click the button to create a new webhook.

Now you have your own accessible URL that you can link to a specific channel to receive messages.
